The widerAdvance Facility will join the Farming for Climate Conference 2026, taking place on 27–28 October at the Agricultural University of Athens.

The conference will bring together farmers, agricultural advisers, researchers, policymakers, associations and representatives of European projects. Its purpose is simple: to connect people working on climate-smart agriculture and create space for exchanging experience, discussing practical solutions and starting new collaborations.

The event brings together three related European initiatives: Climate Farm Demo, ClimateSmartAdvisors and ClimateSmartResearch. Participants will discuss climate-smart farming practices, agricultural advisory services, applied research and ways to turn knowledge into solutions that can be used on farms across Europe.

On 28 October, the widerAdvance Facility will take part in the Climate Collaboration Agora. During this interactive poster session, participating projects will present their work and speak directly with people interested in their activities.

At our poster, visitors will be able to find out who can benefit from the widerAdvance Facility, what services are available and how the application process works. We will also explain how the Facility helps research teams, Research Managers and Administrators develop a clearer route from project results to their further use.

This support may include working on value propositions, potential users and markets, intellectual property, standardisation, communication with non-academic stakeholders and opportunities for follow-up funding. The services are tailored to the needs and development stage of each supported result.

The topics addressed by the conference are closely connected with several areas represented among the research results supported by the widerAdvance Facility. These include climate-smart farming, water management, geospatial monitoring, precision agriculture, renewable energy and cooperation within regional innovation ecosystems.

For the widerAdvance Facility, the conference is also an opportunity to meet research organisations and teams that may have valuable results but still need practical support to move them towards wider use and real-world impact.
