The widerAdvance Facility will take part in the European Commission’s interactive workshop “Towards a Competence Framework for Knowledge Valorisation Intermediaries”, taking place on 12 May 2026 in Brussels. The event will bring together professionals and organisations working at the interface of research, innovation and uptake, with the aim of shaping a future competence framework for knowledge valorisation intermediaries across Europe.
We are pleased to share that Katarzyna Walczyk-Matuszyk, Project Coordinator of the widerAdvance Facility from IPPT PAN, will contribute to the workshop as a panelist. Her participation reflects the project’s practical experience in supporting research organisations with dissemination, exploitation and knowledge valorisation, particularly in Widening countries.
The workshop will focus on the roles, skills and competences needed by knowledge valorisation intermediaries — the people and organisations who help connect research results with business, policy and society. This is a highly relevant topic for the widerAdvance Facility, whose mission is to help organisations strengthen their capacity to turn promising results into meaningful impact.
For widerAdvance, being part of this discussion is more than visibility. It is a chance to bring practical experience into a broader European conversation on what kind of support structures are needed to help research go further. It is also an opportunity to ensure that the perspectives of organisations from Widening countries are part of the debate on how knowledge valorisation should be supported in the years ahead.
As the project continues to work with beneficiaries across Europe, participation in events such as this one helps connect day-to-day practice with policy development, creating stronger links between institutions, intermediaries and the wider innovation ecosystem.
