Most project meetings feel like a formality. This one didn’t.
The widerAdvance Info Day in Lithuania brought together people who are already working with Horizon Europe - and those who want to do it better. We had a mix of universities, researchers, and experts in the room, all asking the same thing: "How do we make this work in the real world?"
Real interest, not just registrations
About 75% of those who signed up actually showed up. In the world of online and hybrid events, that’s a huge number. It shows that there is a real hunger for something more than just "general advice." People don't want more brochures; they want a clear path forward.

What we actually talked about
We kept things practical. Instead of long, abstract presentations, we focused on the everyday challenges of running a project:
-
The "What’s in it for me?" - What kind of support can you actually get right now?
-
Getting noticed - How to stop being a "silent partner" and build a stronger reputation in Europe.
-
Making an impact - How to make sure your research results don't just sit in a drawer.
No fluff. Just a straight look at how the widerAdvance Facility helps at every stage of the journey.
Why this matters
Joining a project is one thing. Actually making it count is another. Many organizations struggle with visibility - they do great work, but the right people never see it. This is where we step in. The widerAdvance portal is designed to be the "go-to" place where you can find the tools, events, and support to close that gap.
The conversation continues
What stood out most wasn’t the slides, but the honesty. The questions were direct, and the discussions were real. There is a clear sense that Lithuania is ready to move from just "participating" to "leading."
A big thanks to everyone who joined and pushed the discussion forward. This is where the real work begins.
