The widerAdvance Facility will take part in the Farming for Climate Conference 2026, an international event focused on practical approaches to climate-smart and climate-resilient agriculture.
The conference will bring together farmers, agricultural advisers, researchers, policymakers, associations and representatives of European projects and initiatives. It will provide a space to exchange experience, discuss solutions that can be applied in practice and build new connections across the European Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems community.
The event combines the experience and communities of three related European initiatives: Climate Farm Demo, ClimateSmartAdvisors and ClimateSmartResearch. Its programme will explore climate-smart farming practices, advisory methods and tools, knowledge exchange, applied research and cooperation between different actors working across the agricultural sector.
Meet the widerAdvance Facility on 28 October
The widerAdvance Facility will be represented during the Climate Collaboration Agora on 28 October. The Agora is an interactive poster session where participating projects can introduce their work, speak directly with conference participants and identify possible areas for cooperation.
At the widerAdvance Facility poster, visitors will be able to learn how the project supports research teams, Research Managers and Administrators, and organisations from Widening countries and Outermost Regions in making better use of Key Exploitable Results developed through Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe projects.
We will present the practical services available through the Facility and explain how the support can help organisations:
- better understand the potential of their research results;
- define possible users and stakeholders;
- strengthen their exploitation and intellectual property strategies;
- explore standardisation and follow-up funding opportunities;
- prepare for cooperation with industry, investors, policymakers and other non-academic actors.
The conference themes are particularly relevant to research results connected with climate-smart farming, water management, agricultural advisory tools, geospatial monitoring, precision agriculture, renewable energy and regional innovation ecosystems.
Participation in the Climate Collaboration Agora will also give the widerAdvance Facility an opportunity to connect with organisations that may benefit from its services and to develop new links with projects and stakeholders working on climate-related solutions for agriculture.
